softness | lilé + andgriel
starter for @pride-of-azkets
The baby was rolling in her womb again. A lazy spin, but they were active. And no matter how many times she gently rubbed her belly or whispered pleas, the little one still moved, their feet nudging and bumping inside her.
The Queen exhaled, grateful that Andgriel was sleeping beside her, that she wasn’t alone. The King was thrilled that she was finally with child, but he rarely spent the night, too distracted by both running a country… and the attentions of his mistresses. Yet for once, Lilé was glad of it. It meant her knight could remain in her bed, and love her and their baby.
“Mm - ” She grunted softly as a kick sparked pain against a rib as she lay on her side. “Cherie, please.” A tired sigh, and she took Andgriel’s hand that was tucked over her breasts, placing it over her belly. “Look. Feel. Your papa is here. He is here.”
There was another kick, and she closed her eyes in resignation. (She hated waking her knight from peaceful slumber.)
“Andgriel. Andgriel. The little one is protesting with their feet again.” A soft groan left her lips, and she turned her head to look back behind her at her beloved. “Could you talk to them? Please? They love your voice.”
