February: Intermediate Training
Congratulations on finishing basic training! Now you have access to more resources and to our 4 Trainers. Starting February 1st, you will arrive every day to the intermediate training areas. Each day, 2 of the 4 master trainers will staff the intermediate training zones teaching one trait they are masters in and one they are proficient in. To keep up with the trainer, you will need to achieve a certain word-count in a specific WIP based on your difficulty level. If you succeed, your character will level up a certain amount in that skill.
Be careful! The higher the trainer’s level in their skill of choice, the more work you will have to do. However, the higher your stats are in that skill, the easier it will be to keep up. If a trainer is a master in their skill, you will get more skill points than if they are just proficient.
You will need to use the February Tracker on Google Sheets to calculate your daily word-count and figure out how many skill points you get for working with specific trainers on specific skills.
Make sure to fill out your difficulty level in B1. (It's currently set to Normal Difficulty). Then fill out your starting skill numbers in Row 23 (copied over from the end of January). Make sure to update your skill points every day. This will change the daily word counts as the higher your skill in a subject, the less work you will need to put in to keep up with the trainers.
Equipment Locks! This is the first month where equipment has an impact on your word-count. So, you should note that you cannot freely change equipment whenever you want. You may only change your equipment when you have access to storage. For February, this will be once a day. Your character can pick their equipment in their morning before training, but then are locked into those choices. So, when getting dressed your character should consider not just what classes they'll attend that day but what quests they plan to go on. In later months, you may be locked into your equipment choices for even longer.
Note: There are only 20 days of intermediate training classes. There will be a new post every day from February 1st-20th, but you don’t have to complete the training the day it’s posted. You get to schedule your rest days.
Most of the time you won't get a weird result with the February calculator unless you have half stats with equipment. But, in case you do, normal rounding rules apply to wordcounts if you get a decimal. If you get a negative number, assume that is 0, so you don't have to write anything for that day.
