Priorities, right? 🙄 A Catholic school in Nashville, Tennessee chose to ban the entire "Harry Potter" series at a Reverand's recommendation. ¶ While they're worried that the books have both good and evil magic, the real deal-breaker was the fact that J.K. Rowling wrote spells that, "if read by a human could conjure 'evil spirits.'" 😈 Because "these books present magic as both good and evil" they reveal their clever deception in getting people to believe there can be both good and evil magic. ¶ Seriously, Nashville? ¶ You take issue with "good magic" being a lie, not that all magic is, at best fiction, or worst a lie? 🤣 ¶ A pastor at the school even emailed parents detailing how he "consulted several exorcistas in the USA and Rome, Italy" which lead to the ultimate removal of the books. 🤦♂️ ¶ So other than this grand display of our educational systems' failure how was your Monday? 😬 ¶ What's up Book Wyrms! 📚🐍 Have you ever read any "banned" books? I'm sure if you've read a lot you must have come across some because these banned-book-lists only get longer as time goes by and religions try to limit the spread of knowledge. 🧠 They've always thrived on an uneducated populous, after all. 🤪 ¶ Let me know in the comments if you read the Harry Potter books, watched the movies, saw the Broadway show, or did all of the above! 🧙♂️ I'll see you down there. 🕳️ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ ¶ #twitter #tweet #bibliophile #bookaddict #bookcommunity #booklover #booknerd #bookworm #goodreads #readersofinstagram #igreads #bookclub #bookgram #booksofig #bookstagramme #bookwyrms #bookwormlife #bookwormsunite #featuredbooklovers #readingismagic #unitedbookstagram #welovebooks #sff #scifi #sciencefiction #fantasy #magic #BannedBooks #DontBanBooks #HogwartsBannedGuns via @preview.app (at New York, New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/B17QcCEgILX/?igshid=z4lzvddy6csf
