I chanced upon this during a random stroll through BN today. A few years ago I said I wouldn't buy another writing inspiration book because I spent my whole life (literally) reading these kinds of books, and I wanted to grow confidence by actually writing. Flash forward some years later, in a deliciously tumultuous affair with writing, I return seeking writing inspiration because beyond the unchanging art of writing, inspiration soothes the heart. I want be a fearless writer. I want to give myself permission to take my writing seriously and the time I've dedicated to it seriously. It's easy to downplay your worth and work sometimes. Thank God He has not given me the spirit of fear! I've been writing fan fiction and although I can see the eyes rolling, it's been making the process fun. Making me not look at notebooks like an enemy. The only other thing I've been doing everyday is this shawl. Having to imbue purpose into everything, I think I'll inspire this one after dreams. Each color reminds me of passion and romance and being free enough to actually be my dream. A minha vida inteira construi barreiras e nunca deixei ninguém passar. Elas continuam aqui, firmes e fortes mas para você estou abrindo essa exceção. Espero que consiga passar e se conseguir, pode entrar. Só não repara a bagunça, por muito tempo estive aqui sozinha. Fecha a porta, por favor, são poucos além de você que estão permitidos ver o que acontece aqui dentro. Fica a vontade, tem total liberdade para mexer no que quiser, só peço que não bagunce tudo como da última vez fizeram. Os muros estão ali por isso mesmo. Entraram, me tiraram do lugar e se foram. Espero que não se vá tão cedo, ainda temos muito o que descobrir um do outro. Não criei esperanças de nada entre nós, que fique claro. Só estou, finalmente, me permitindo. É mais algo entre eu e eu mesma. Pode ficar a vontade pra se aconchegar enquanto me acostumo com sua presença. Sei que no final tudo vai dar certo porque dessa vez me deixei levar e não me escondi assustada com medo do que poderia ou deveria acontecer. No fim do dia, vou estar bem comigo mesma e é assim que tem que ser.
