THIS IS NOT A REDESIGN! this a new version of catalina designed for the game fire emblem warriors: three hopes !! for those unfamiliar w fire emblem, this game came out some years ago as a successor to three houses. it takes place in the same universe but in an alternate timeline ! the biggest change in this timeline is that our three houses protag, byleth, never becomes a professor at the officer’s academy, changing the students’ lives for better and for worse.

so how does catalina’s life change?

well with all of the students’ educational lives being cut short by the sudden war outbreak (sooner than Houses timeline), her father feels her abilities to be insufficient to be on the frontlines of the war. he keeps her under tight lock and key, trying to protect her from the dangers of war by insisting she stay at the monastery to assist his work instead.

after two years of wartime, the lines between catalina’s sense of self and her role of servitude under the church begin to blur. in short, this version of catalina has a much weaker sense of independence and individuality, and sees herself as more of a servant or pawn to be used than her own person.

i wanted her design to reflect this so her outfit is based of the basic mage and bishop class designs, making her resemble more of a church member. also her hair is even longer since i wanted it to feel like it would weigh her down, similar to the weight of the past and her duties.

she looks more like her father these days, doesn’t she?

Name: Madilyn

Nickname: Maddi.

Gender: Female.

Occupation: Fire Mage, wanted to be a healer but didn’t have the temperament for it.

Bio: A young girl from Crimea who grew up in a family of healers. At a young age she desperately wished to be a healer like her Mother and Father but it was discovered she did not have the stomach or temperament for it.

Her anger raged like a flame for several days and it was discovered she had an aptitude for Fire Mage so she was sent to study.  

She grew up with loads of passion and a caring heart but a fiery temper that somehow made her flames burn brighter, which baffled her family and even her teacher.

When Daein invaded Crimea Madilyn managed to escape, but not before seeing her dear Mother and Father cut down before her. Her sadness and anger swirled and she caused a mass fire near the surrounding area, it was then a childhood fear surfaced.

She hated the sight of blood.

It make her sick.

Angry!

Lost and alone, not to mention angry she planned to take on the generals of Daein. By herself.

She met Ike and co after they leave Gallia, obviously enraged that Daein would go so far to attack such a nation, which almost sparked another massive blaze, with some harsh but kind words from the lady knight Titania, Madilyn managed to calm down and pledge her services.

When questioned why, she said it was for no reason but in supports with her, she reveals her weird thing with fire and how her anger and sadness cause it too become powerful but she also reveals her disgust for blood.

Dried blood doesn’t seem to bother her but fresh blood...it made her angry.

After the events of the first game she parted from the company, to work on her training and her anger issues.

In Radiant Dawn, Madilyn of course is recuritable. She doesn’t understand the whole Daein thing but knew deep down Begnion had issues and it was not Sanaki’s fault really. She is just a kid.

She serves as a big sister role to the group and mentions that her anger issue has calmed a bit over time but can be useful in battle.

Madilyn loves to eat.

Madilyn herself has no issues with laguz and prefers to call them laguz rather then ‘sub-human- or whatever harsh words the shapeshifters are called. Her parents taught her manners!

Supports: Madilyn can support Elincia, Ike,Titania, Ranulf, Tibarn, Reyson, Mist, Oscar and Boyd in FE 9. (only 5 of these are romantic)
