Nari’s human and dragon form: Her design has elements of Reshiram, as a reference to her original father Reshai

Valla here still had other dragonfolk/manakete that weren’t Anankos, with various tribes that trace their ancestry to the Dawn or Dusk dragon. Nari is born as a union between an unknown human and a dragon from the Dawn dragon tribe.

Mikoto does not marry Anankos in this AU, instead she saves baby Nari during one of Anankos’s rampages through Valla. Unwilling to abandon the baby whom no one claimed as their own, Mikoto adopts her instead

Arete and Mikoto still flee from Valla and the usual Corrin childhood of “living briefly in Hoshido before being kidnapped by Garon to be at Nohr” still happens.

Anankos here is not hellbent on killing his child, but has his focus on Azura for being the last remaining descendant of Cadros

Unlike Corrin, Nari does not have childhood amnesia i.e. remembers Silas and the picnic incident clearly and has immense guilt over it. Their reunion is one of the happiest moments in her life.

Her hidden talent is mercenary, Boon/Bane is Deft/Unlucky

Daphne: Runaway Cat A traveler from a foreign kingdom, working as a novice member of Notia’s Monster Watch. Shy and has a bad habit of telling white lies to fit in with her peers.

Daphne is from a foreign kingdom that she ran away from to avoid her parents. She did live a good life with her parents back in her hometown but they started forcing her to do things they like and became dismissive of her own personal wants as she grew up. She felt like a trapped puppet around them, unable to speak her mind or say no to them without being severely judged or provoking their anger.

Eventually, she ran away from her parents for good, going wherever the wind took her. She arrived at the kingdom of Notia by chance, not aware that it was a kingdom where monsters could roam unchecked. Daphne ends up deciding to train at the academy to be a new member of the Monster Watch, warriors protecting the kingdom from the monsters of the kingdom’s labyrinth. Despite her anxious personality, lacking fighting experience, and the danger, she felt like this was her best option: it would be the last place her parents expect her to be and she’s too tired to find someplace else to run…

Still having people-pleasing habits due to her upbringing, Daphne is a compulsive liar and hides secrets that she believes people would hate her for. She would act “average” to fit in to avoid the same look of confrontation or disapproval as her parents in the past. She is afraid to speak up with her true feelings, that her peers would judge her negatively. She freezes up every time someone mentions parents of any sort as it reminds her of bad experiences with hers.
