Junseo never missed getting a birthday present to Jonghyun or any of his friends for that matter. Ever. Not even when he was barely cutting it during his escape from Thailand. Well, that year he had just given him a bunch of souvenir knick-knacks from whatever cities he had passed through at the time. But that tradition wasn’t going to stop, even now that he was dead.
Tentatively, he approachedhis friend, holding a small, nicely wrapped gift worthy to be called from a model that was carefully chosen by him with a card in tow. Said gift was a little crystal statue of a puppy. Junseo didn’t know; of course he knew Jonghyun was studying to be a vet so that was part of the reason, but mostly because it somehow reminded the model of his friend when he came across it in the antique shop. Why he found that so endearing was another story. Once close, Junseo pulled the gift from behind him, careful not to touch Jonghyun in fear that might upset him.

❛ Are you really a model, or are you just trying to get at us? ❜ One of the nurses giggles, putting her clipboard to her face bashfully. Another chimes in to Junseo’s defense, despite only meeting him minutes ago. ❛ Don’t be silly, should it be obvious he is? ❜
His intention was to simply stay put and draw no attention to himself while Minwoo broke the news to Jonghyun; they thought it’d be easier on him. Well, there wasn’t going to be an easy way, but they were trying to be as considerate as they could given all of their circumstances. Junseo was doing well,at least, until he drew the attention of a flock of nurses on break. One or two he could shake off, but five was overkill. Junseo’s social anxiety was taking a turn for the worst until one asked if he was a model, to which he quickly latched onto.
❝ Oh? You can’t tell? Even when I’ve been in High Cut and Looktique?❞
Of course, this not being Seoul none of the nurses recognized those magazines but believed it regardless, asking him more and more questions.

Junseo didn’t understand at all either, but it was fun to play along right? He paused for a moment. ❝ ..We’re not actually gonna try and find out, right?❞ he asked, looking at his friend like a deer in headlights. Interacting with fans was one thing; all Junseo had to really do was talk about himself. Complete and total strangers was a way ‘nother thing, his infamous shyness kicking in.

❝ You look like you’re exceptionally troubled. ❞ Maybe exceptionally was an understatement. From what he’s seeing, the stranger sitting at the other end of the sofa appeared to be more than just troubled. Perhaps he was just stressed out about the situation they were in? Or was it just his natural facial expression? Either way, the blonde had a wonderful ( only to him, probably ) suggestion for the other.
