Benefits of following the UTSU CFS AGM tumblr
Join us in our latest social media escapade: live-blogging the Annual General Meeting of CFS-National and (hopefully) racking up some notes.
Our delegates, Jasmine Denike, Daman Singh, and Ben Coleman are live blogging their way through this meeting of the Canadian Federation of Students, a student union of student unions (so meta!) using the excellent platform of tumblr. So why should you follow along?
1. Awesome Images and Stuff
Don’t you just love bashing annoying Globe and Mail columnist Margaret Wente? We do, and we took a photo of it. Maybe there will be videos or audio in the future. Who knows! It’ll be like you’re really with us in sunny Gatineau.
2. Follow Along with Motions
If you go to http://utsu98.tumblr.com/Motions, then you can see all the motions on the Agenda for consideration. If debate happens about motions in committees, we’ll make more posts that will show up in the feed for each motion.
You can check out the feed for our own motion, to reduce the number of signatures needed for a petition to decertify here.
3. Ask us Questions
Want to know more about the CFS, or know more about items on the agenda? Submit a question at http://utsu98.tumblr.com/ask and we’ll answer it! (No guarantees for trolls unless the question is really, really funny.)
4. Submit your own Posts
We have no idea why we added this option, but if you do, show us by submitting a post to go up on the tumblr at http://utsu98.tumblr.com/submit. A great way to grab some of that coveted “student union fame.”
5. Follow us on Twitter
Twitter is where all the action happens! Follow us by checking our profiles on http://utsu98.tumblr.com/delegates or searching for #fcee15. Feel free to tweet us with questions too (or send us email) if tumblr questions are not your thing.
Happy social media times!
~Ben
