“It’s okay.” Eddie was pretty positive that he was going to die. Honestly, look at him. If he managed to survive it would be a damn miracle. He wasn’t looking at the wound because Richie’s jacket was there, but his own strength was failing as he wasn’t even putting pressure on the wound.

   That had been the absolute last thing he expected Bill to say.

   It was a few months after everything, after he had nearly died, and then recovered, and some months later as he was still recovering strength and walking. He was in his own apartment in New York, a divorce just beginning (and he was sure it would last for a long time), and working from home for now. Things seemed to be messy and not in any kind of order that Eddie would have liked but here was Bill, coming to visit him, and now dropping this bomb.

   “Uh..” he started, not sure what to say although he knew what he wanted to say. “Seven’s good.” It wasn’t the best choice, especially because he looked so completely lost, but at least he had accepted. That’s what he wanted to do, so that was one step that he had managed to take.

   “Are we too old for Miami? Do you think we should do something overseas?” It was a late minute Valentine’s trip but they had the resources to take the time off, so it wouldn’t be all that difficult to get done. Eddie just didn’t know where to go.

   The option of sun was nice but Eddie didn’t want to have his shirt off in public for beaches. Then the option of Europe was always intriguing, but what if Bill got bored? 

   It was adorable. Only a week after they had gotten engaged, and they were still in some brand new honeymoon phase. Eddie loved it.

   Eddie was attempting cupcakes. The Losers were coming over for Christmas and New Year’s, and he wanted to have some treats while they were here, so he was doing a practice round right now, but Bill had other plans. He hadn’t even realized when his lover came into the kitchen, but he definitely noticed when the writer was licking some icing from his thumb.

   The look on his face was one that had a purpose, and Eddie just found himself frozen as he watched. Was it supposed to be seductive? He was pretty sure it was, but Eddie was horrible at these cues, so he had to guess.
