Bill had never really cared about himself. At least not since that one day that he decided he didn't want to go outside and his whole life changed. Now he knew better and he'd never make that mistake again. No matter what it cost him, he would protect the people he cared about. And Finn was the person he cared about the most ever since the two of them had met.
"Does it make a difference?" He countered, arms crossing over his chest. "Nothing's going to stop me from having your back."
Finn groaned and rubbed his head. It was bad enough that he'd agreed to go with Gwen to the camp, but for Bill to tag along meant he was also responsible for his friend. Not that the other would ever say that was what he needed to do, but this wasn't the type of scenario that was safe. If Gwen's dreams weren't safe, who could say how anyone else would be affected?
"This isn't just having my back, Bill," he protested. In contrast to Bill, he waved his arms to emphasize his words. "I-I don't know what's going to happen. You could fucking die out here, okay? We're going to get ourselves killed."
