i just designed Dawncloud's mom, Featherstorm, a little bit ago, so she was definitely interesting to do! she certainly looks more like her mom than her dad lol. i gave her the same kind of fluff i gave her daughter Blossomkit. i'll probably do the same for Swampkit too ngl.

there's some weird continuity stuff w her, similar to her brother ig. she's an elder in tpb, but in stuff like exile from shadowclan and yellowfang's secret, she'd be fairly young in tpb. i personally like to think she was allowed to retire early due to stress, but man are wc timelines bizarre.

her and her siblings are Raggedstar's and Blackstar's half siblings. they're also Brokenstar's half aunt and uncles. Brokenstar was just taking family members left and right lmaoo

this guy was really easy to design. i feel like i have such a clear vision of him in my head. i'm a big fan of gray with a brown underbely for him. gotta explain his inexplicable brown children somehow lmao.

i like his little bits after Rainflower's death n how he gets so wistful about her. i like the way he has complicated feelings on her. it feels more realistic to me. also, shout out to this guy for being one of the few divorced warrior cats hjhjk

i wish he was more present in Crookedstar's promise. i would've killed for more scenes of them just talking things through, but of course warriors don't talk to eachother. i still love the scene where after Crookedjaw's first gathering as deputy, they sit and chat for a little bit. it's such a quiet gentle moment. i would love more stuff like that in wc.
