The King and I...
( @fatefulrider set the mood)
There are many emotions a Hero experiences when returning from adventure or war, relief falls off her shoulders and descends to her longing heart, where it is kept aloft by anticipation that threatens to explode from her chest, grounded only by an anchor of anxiety at the pit of her stomach. Finally she was back, eager to see the first person that came to mind when she thought of her home in this the Modern Era, yet search as she might, her one royal subject of this age, or perhaps rather the subject of her, ‘attentions’, was nowhere to be found.
Asking around Hippolyta would find the balance of her homecoming emotions thrown off, for no one had seen the one she sought after longed for in weeks... Time to rest her weary feet could wait, Hippolyta had to find her, it took a day or two, but she discovered Angelica’s location at a rather large residence, a mansion within a Spatial Displacement Bounded Field, this was the Ainsworth’s place alright, but where was she? Where was her Angelica? Investigating further into the area she found there was a mountain of treasures laying about all over the place, gold and jewels enough to buy out the world ten times over, precious items of which some even as a Heroic Spirit she didn’t recognise, yet others were all too familiar.
(Kick it up a notch)
Were those, Noble Phantasms? From the Gate of Babylon? Why were they just laying around here like thi- “So, have you been enjoying your tour of the King’s treasury, mongrel...” That voice, projected through magic instead of sound but, that voice was unmistakable even through a woman’s body, no, she had to be sure, the presence she felt was coming from the direction of the lounge room, hurry!
