I really love the mix of Mobius lore and VII lore that events like this give us, Fatal Calling Part 1 of 3!
Japan reran the first Mobius FF x FFVII Remake collaboration event in December 2016, one year after the original event. When it was supposed to end, and when it started for the first time outside Japan, Japan got a second FFVII Remake collaboration event for the 30th series anniversary called Fatal Calling.
So we’re in the fourth month of consecutive FFVII remake content. Two more FFVII legend jobs joined the Soldier 1st. I got both the Desperate Hero, which is a Sephiroth themed Wol warrior job, and the Flower Seller of Midgar, an Aerith themed mage job for Meia. For the Desperate hero I had to draw the big summon 8 times, which guarantees a limit draw, getting the current rare job. With the Flower Seller of Midgar I got lucky and drew her on the 5th draw.
Hi I know you've made some posts about Mobius. Someone told me about how Aerith's theme plays when the crystal shows up & how Cloud doesn't care to remember the past & just wants to move on to somewhere new, his promised land, & that's where Aerith is. It broke my heart because I'm a Cloti. I just want to know what's your analysis on this? Because my friend was talking about how this kind of foreshadows a new future/ending for FFVR & that Cloud will be reunited with Aerith in his promised land

Fatal calling 2
Whoever told you that is a damn liar. Cloud is trying to get home to Tifa, but can't remember anything.
Both of the links I've added include a YouTube playthrough of fatal calling, which is the mobius episode for Cloud. I recommend watching it.
The story is cloti af and Echo even has an Aerith outfit and ships cloti so hard. She also has a lot of Aerith styled lines and Cloud is dismissive af to her. She literally asks him on a date at one point and he's all "nope" and in JP she asks him about his one true love during the Nibelheim section of the game and it's clear they're talking about Tifa. Like extremely clear because it comes right after he picks up a piece of the warrior's tale that talks about a warm cheerful mountain guide who is out of Cloud's league. These collectables reveal snippets from the Nibelheim incident that Cloud has forgotten.
Tifa’s theme also plays at a key moment in the story, while I believe Aerith's only shows at the end of the credits.
Never listen to people trying to bullshit you. Always look up the thing. I honestly recommend watching the playthrough, the story is pretty fun, even if Echo is annoying lol
Tifa valkyrie theory
Cloud seeing Tifa as warm, cheerful and grown up ❤️
Awww, Cloud thinks Tifa is out of his league ❤️❤️❤️
No wonder he's so smug when he flirts successfully and hears she rejected Al the Intel guy. He's like I have a chance ❤️❤️❤️
Just a reminder that Nojima supervised on this script, so he approves of this. Also, Tifa's theme plays at the end where Cloud talks about dreams, hope and light and then the main theme plays with white feathers floating across the screen, which are Tifa's Remake associated symbolism ❤️😁❤️😁

Still talking Brave Exvius this morning cause I found something else interesting.
Aerith's been added to the game with her fleeting familiar ability and a prayer to change the future.
It's not the first game to highlight the fleeting familiar either. Not to mention all the in game associations with butterflies in her garden, discovery and mural.
Butterflies symbolism the fleeting beauty of life and are often considered messengers from the spiritual realm.
So, yeah, obviously they indicate Aerith's short life, but also herald the beauty that short life can bring. There's also the link to Zack carrying messages from beyond.
In fatal calling, which I recommend people watch because omg there's so many Remake hints happening in it, we see an Aerith dressed fairy being the biggest Cloti shipper ever.
There's also white feather references at the end, along with Tifa being implied as Cloud's light and hope during the Nibelheim portion of the game.
So, yeah, both games are heavily hinting that Aerith is connected to the fleeting familiar as an important concept.
I definitely recommend watching this. I was in stitches at all the references 🤣🤣🤣
From fatal calling, which has Toriyama, Hamaguchi, Nomura and Nojima's input.
The opening which has Cloud's sword with the CC design, like we saw in the glimpse of the future in Remake that people said was the devs being lazy, and the narrative of illusion vs reality.
Sephiroth asking for others strength, which echoes his line at the edge of creation.
Cloud dual wielding in his final battle with Sephiroth, which did literally make me say wtaf out loud when it happened, especially since the sword is the CC design like the Remake future glimpse, so I'm very suspicious about that considering the Remake team worked on this.
Light of hope is a theme first brought up during the Nibelheim section of this game. Tifa gets a few references too, including in the warrior's tale, where we learn Cloud thinks she's out of his league.
After the final battle when Cloud leaves, white feathers float down imbued with the light of hope. They're also in the credits.
A warrior's tale from fatal calling. Cloti obviously.
Clear skies cafe: This one is zerith refs. If people didn't spot it in sector 5, Aerith makes a point of pausing beside a cafe and saying she helps out sometimes. The npc there is surprised how short Cloud is because he thought the soldier Aerith knew was taller.
A scientific hypothesis: Hojo's plans which are super super gross and I need him to get impaled.
Tale of the nameless: Cloud again, after he's been stuck in a tank.
