Does the "forcibly" part of FASAB just mean surgical normalization, or can it mean other forms of normalization?
Okay so thereās not actually strong community consensus here, but thatās mostly because FAGAB/FASAB labels arenāt widely used.
But as a general guideline, if you are intersex and the treatment was a thing that, as an adult, would require your consent before a doctor could do it (or I guess that would require the violent suspension of your rights due to disability, race, etc), then it counts.
This can include, but is not limited to:
Some types of Cognitive Training or forced skills training
Medical Treatments like HRT
Nonsurgical medical procedures
If it was something forced on you, to make you more normal according to perisex beliefs, then thatās enough for me, and for most people in my experience.
That said, I always encourage people to be careful when first identifying with theĀ āforcedā labels, because it sort of... makes it very open and obvious that you were the subject of violent medical malpractice, and even if you donāt thinkĀ you have trauma surrounding it, you may come to find that being more open about it eases repressions youāve built up over time and you begin experiencing delayed traumatic reactions.
So please take care of yourself, above all else.
