Did she deserve better?
Yes, absolutely.
No, she deserved what happened to her.
She deserved SOME of it but not all.

I don't know her but she looks like she deserved better.
Reasoning:
She was supposed to have her own game, like it was supposed to be Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Secrets. But it was actually too complicated then to code the games so you could intertwine the three stories and advance from one game to another keeping the same save file on game boy color. With the switch remake of Link's Awakening, you could have hoped at least a remake of the two existing games, and maaaaaybe if they're motivated enough, doing what they initially intended... but that doesn't look like it's coming.
Also I remember Farore, Din and Nayru being in Minish Cap and I didn't know then that you cannot give a house to all three in their side quest (maybe it was initially intended and cruel irony it was never made) but yes, you end up having to leave one of the three fairies in the hotel. I can't check because my GBA's dead but I think Farore is the one who's left in my save file.
