Our Family New Year's Eve Celebration Traditions: 1. A table filled with food to celebrate both the end of the previous year and the coming of the new year. 2. A basket/tray of round shaped fruits to signify abundance. 3. A goblet of water with fresh rose buds that will be passed around to every member of the family and partake in drinking the water in it to signify unity, love and harmony as a family. 4. Lots of desserts to signify our wish for a sweet year. 5. Coins to be shaken in every family members pockets at the strike of 12mn to welcome the new year to signify prosperity. 6. And of course, complete family attendance to share the love and celebrations... (Not in the photo: bells and horns to create noise to drive away bad luck for the incoming new year) . . This has been a tradition we have grown up with. And as a family tradition, we will carry it on to our family's younger and upcoming generations. . . What about you?
