Stranded - Smaugust 9
After storms, it was perhaps not common, but happening occasionally, that deep sea dragons were thrown on shore. It was much more disgusting than stranded sea dragons, that the most brave dragonlovers might try to push back into the water; but the enormous, strangely gelatinous deep sea ones in their red colours often had small rarities embedded in their bellies or caught on their fins, so despite the acidic smell and murderous seagulls, it was worthwhile to search them.
For this piece I used a simple collage approach by bashing together a bunch of upscaled outputs from different AI generators - WOMBO Dream, Disco and Fantasy Diffusion. The actual prompts I used with the AIs didn't actually yield usable results, but since the subject of stranded fantasy creatures is already abstract, that was okay. The mood was important and hard to break away from any one resource used.
