Union Pacific locomotive 4442 at Fantasy Park, Las Vegas, and its relocation to Clark County Museum, September 1984

The locomotive was donated to the City of Las Vegas by Union Pacific Railroad for display at Fantasy Park where it became a children’s play area. The engine arrived in Las Vegas in 5/60. When the park was being dismantled in the 80s, the Nevada National Guard used tank haulers to relocate the locomotive, a slope-back tender, a boxcar and caboose to the museum on Boulder Hwy.
