#fantamango

When it comes to one of my best friends, if you know anything about him at all, you know that he loves mango. He’s a mango fanatic. This also extends to mango-flavored things (which is different from grape-flavored things, which taste like purple; blue-raspberry-flavored things, which taste like blue; and watermelon-flavored things, which most of the time taste like sadness). He recently mentioned that he’d seen billboards for mango Fanta around for a while and had finally gotten around to seeking it out. We did some looking around and found his best chance would likely be at Walmart. I had to go to Walmart this morning anyway to search for the elusive key lime pie Oreos (a search which was, sadly, in vain), and I spotted a two-liter of mango Fanta, so I decided to pick it up. He asked if I’d review it, so here we are.

I’m actually not a huge fan of mango (I don’t dislike it, but it’s not really my thing), but I think this is pretty good. It tastes like a sparkling mango juice. I wish it was a little more carbonated, but it’s still nice the way it is. I wondered if I’d find it overly sweet, but it really isn’t. I don’t think I’ll buy it again, but it was worth trying.
