Please this is not a Canon ship- I drew this bc I just have a feeling that they would suit each other alot.

NOTE: Yes I am aware that the duo is meant to have a pseudo mother-daughter relationship and I love that dynamic, but I also love the idea of them as a couple. It would've been toxic and messed up but I would STILL love it. If you don't like, that's okay but don't be an asshole in the comments.

The DELCIOUS potential of how messed-up, morally ambiguous, toxic, and (yes) attractive this pairing could've been. Neither one trusts the other but can't help but become attracted to each other due to their own loneliness and the other being attractive.

Ambessa is confirmed to be into both men and women; Caitlyn is a canon lesbian. Plus, despite their canon dynamic, they aren't related and Ambessa didn't know Caitlyn as a child. Plus, Ambessa has been shown to be into younger people.

How it Ambessa would further be a foil to Vi - Both are muscular, strong women with troubled and violent backstories with a red and canine motif. And both would do ANYTHING for their loved one but while Ambessa is a more selfish and violent version, Vi is the more heroic version. Both provide an influence to Caitlyn - negative from Ambessa; positive from Vi

And it this had follow through, it could've set up some delicious irony - Ambessa only being kind to Caitlyn to manipulate her further while the latter initially believes (or tries to) that the former can help her. Then, something happens, they end up having a sexual fling. And that's when the dynamic shifts - Ambessa (while still being manipulative) gains true romantic feelings for Caitlyn but Caitlyn (ashamed of having slept with a warmonger in a moment of weakness) keeps their relationship strictly professional.

Also, in this rewrite, this could also serve some juicy interactions with Vi - Ambessa is jealous and possessive that Caitlyn still has feelings for Vi despite it being months and secretly will enjoy killing Vi to try and further implant herself into Caitlyn's life.

And imagine if they got a sex scene - it could serve to highlight and contrast the Caitvi one. Unlike the latter, the former is rough (still consensual) where no kisses (or it there is one, it's only initiated by Ambessa) and Caitlyn looks more like, "I'm at my lowest and I need to forget" kind of look.

If anyone plans on writing a Caitbessa rewrite fic similar to this, please let me know.
