Sorry about that. Funny slash fucked up part of having progeny in any form - they take after you. Every day I think, surely at this point, Rose's gotta be outta ways to stealthily forcefeed me my own patented brand of nuclear orange medicine, and every day I am simultaneously pleasantly surprised and mildly horrified to be proven wrong.

Anyway. I got my fuckin' pantaloons back and we're done with the thinly veiled psychological warfare for the time being. So I got a couple minutes to give the people what they want.

Normally I'd have concerns about giving away all my plans, let alone in such dramatic detail. Oh, you're a mastermind supervillain and you're just gonna give the hero all the information in a neatly packaged two minute monologue? You're makin' some big brain moves the rest of us couldn't even hope to understand.

I'm sure you're thinking the same thing. "Yes, Dirk." You hiss through your teeth while jacking it furiously to your own literary competence. "Fall prey to your own ego for the umpteenth time this week and hand me the key to your downfall on a silver platter." And I'm like. Okay. With an enigmatic level of placidity.

        It’s not unlike fanmail he’s received before, but it touches him all the same. Every single one like this, telling him how he gave them the courage to come out, how their family supported them, how they’re so thankful for him being who he is and inspiring them—he could almost cry reading them. Leon reads the letter over multiple times, runs his fingers over the words, a beaming smile spreading across his face.

        He can’t reply to all the fanmail he gets, but he always makes a point to reply to the ones like this. Leon quickly pulls out a clean sheet of paper and clicks his pen, wiggling it between his fingers as he thinks for a moment about what he wants to say.

        Finally, he begins to write in clean, neat print—carefully practiced over the years.

It’s hard, first coming out, I know, and I won’t lie and say it gets easier immediately. You will have hurdles you have to jump through, there will be people who try to get in your way, but you can’t let them. Live your truth and no one else’s. You are your own man. well , this one is a bit harder to answer , because well , a small change of anything could have drastically changed who he is as a person. like , so — basketball , lemme start with that. if he had never started playing basketball , wasn’t invited to play by the coach at teiko , then he ?? probably would have ended up in jail. he was an unruly kid , a thief , and he often got into fights , and highkey thought he was better than everyone else. and then the coach invites him to play basketball , and it becomes an outlet for nijimura for his anger , and his hurt. ultimately , he becomes the captain of the team at the end of his first year , and gives it up at the end of his second year due to his father’s health. but , like , also , if his father wasn’t sick ? that definitely could have changed things to the point where he wouldn’t have left japan to go to america and probably could have kept the GOM on a more straight trek instead of them swerving away. then again , maybe if he wasn’t fighting , then his dad would have died without no one knowing why. he wouldn’t be as strong as he was. or if he hadn’t learned how to sneak into places ( and by sneak in i actually mean break in ) then when he moved to america , he wouldn’t have been able to help tatsuya in the retrieval of the child that was kidnapped because nijimura had pissed the guys off. and maybe if he had kept his captain position , then , he would have maybe delayed the GOM from becoming the GOM. that 111-11 game wouldn’t have happened. ( it probably would have since it was the GOM’s 3rd year and by that time , nijimura would have already graduated. ) 

I wouldn't say I made an edit to the narrative itself just yet. I'd say I clarified something to make it more obvious. You'll find it at the end of the Narrative Post where Sefoni and Slim Go Beach.

Up until recently, I had no real interest in meddling. Sure, there are splinters of me that don't take up the mantle. They resist the call to action. And they usually end up dead or forgotten with no interference on my part.

      There is no way I can properly express how sorry I am. I know you would say it isn’t my fault, I don’t have to apologise, but that’s just the natural reaction, isn’t it?

      You are so strong to keep living. Don’t give me the credit for it. That’s all you, that’s your strength. That’s your courage. Even if the world seems like it’s against you, you will pull through it whether I’m there or not. You will find people who will accept you and love you; there are so many in this world. Even if it looks like there is more hate than anything, there is so much more love than you can possibly imagine. You just have to look in the right places for it.

      In the envelope I’m going to attach a sheet with the names and numbers of a few LGBT+ resources for you to look into. I’m not sure how old you are, but I’m sure through these communities you’ll be able to find someone to stay with. You’ll be able to find people who will love you so much you can hardly believe it to be possible.
