Most people who would fall under proship just want to mind their own fucking business, and the only reason they even start talking about it is because they know someone who's been harassed in the name of moral panic, or they've been harassed too. I'd love to be privileged enough to have not experienced that myself, over literally nothing harmful (I shipped two characters in a het ship and the characters weren't even canonically LGBT!), but you know, too bad for me. Everything's always stupid and "pointless to talk about" until it happens to you and suddenly you're aware of an entire root ball in fandom that's rotting.
