I get we're all very anti-censorship and all that...but sometimes the editors and publishers NEED to say, "No, we're not allowing this to be canon material, and you're fired for even suggesting it."
For example: That guy at DC Comics who turned Starfire into a walking sex doll with amnesia whose only personality trait is, "must have sex even if it means cheating on my boyfriend right in front of him"
Did I mention her backstory includes her escaping horrific sexual slavery and meeting people who actually treat her like a person instead of a sexual object? And you can easily find the massive backlash that occurred among the Teen Titans fandom.
The whole thing could have been prevented by a little bit of scrutiny and the word "No"
BTW in this case, the author later got fired for sexual harassment in the workplace. Turns out that's just how he views women.
