Mystery and Romance (The Four Arcs of Sherlock) by ArchipelagoArchaea This story structure meta is one that i keep coming back to. It was written (or at least published to ao3) in 2015, and is as far as i can tell, all that remains of this wonderful fan's excellent writing. It was a great solace to me in the immediate aftermath of s4, as it appeared to me that we were actually right on the "schedule" outlined in the meta. In the run up to s4, i had one foot in the "this is it, we're going to get the happy ending now" but the other still firmly in the "not yet, this is act 4 of 5" place. I think @toxicsemicolon 's new, wonderful meta detailing Kant vs Hegel, and the story structure outlined by the BBC's own Yorke, is very much in line with this one, and to have two distinct examinations come to such similar conclusions is very heartening indeed.
