      THE  CHILD  IS  ACCUSTOMED  to  affection .  her  grandmother  spared  no  chance  to  display  her  love  &  affection  towards  kairi .  however  this  form  of  affection  is  slightly  different .  it’s  simpler  yet  no  less  sweet  &  genuine .  though  all  the  same  the  four  year  old  isn’t  sure  what  to  make  of  it .  she  really  hadn’t  done  anything  deserving  of  praise  or  affection .  she’d  simply  delivered  the  flowers  miss  aerith  had  asked  her  to .  though  maybe  this  is  just  a  perk  of  doing  a  good  deed .

      SHE  SMILES  BEFORE  MAKING  a  movement  with  her  hand  to  indicate  to  him  that  she  wants  him  to  lower  his  head .  when  he  does  so  she  ruffles  his  hair  in  return .  she  giggles  as  she  pulls  away .  ❛  i  hope  you  like  the  flowers ,  mister  cloud !    ❜

He recited the words as they were printed on the old book. Genesis was appreciative that the barmaid--Tifa, was it? -- had given it to him to pass the idle time while recuperating in the guest room. 

However, upon hearing heavy laden footsteps swiftly approaching his room, he closed the book quietly and lifted his head ever so slightly. 

His hair remained cascaded down his shoulders and back--beautiful ginger brown waves of strands that nearly matched the length of Sephiroth’s or Tifa’s. There he sat, stiff and into himself in clothing too big for his slender frame. He suspected they were Cloud’s. 

Hearing the door creak from being opened, Genesis didn’t hesitate to speak.

“ I suspect you have questions.”
