In my backyard
I had hoped this was some kind of edible nettle, as there’s a lot of it in the old pig paddocks at the dairy, but it is actually Boehmeria cylindrica, aka False nettle. I have been unable to confirm its edibility one way or the other. Some sites describe it as lacking culinary uses, others as “nontoxic”. Nothing solid.
