HONEYSUCKLE ⎮ Finished July 14th, 2026 ⎮ ★★★★★
Speechless. Complete and utter speechless.
I picked this book up on a whim. I had a giftcard expiring and figured I'd get a bunch of books; picked the ones with nice covers and an 'good enough' bio, because I do judge a book by its cover.
Safe to say, the cover could not have prepared me for the ride I've been on. I felt like I stepped into a dreamlike state, almost a fairytale. It had some twists and turns that lead it down a darker, more grim path, but I still felt that way.
The world building is exceptional, the characters are layered, flawed, and even at their worst, you have sympathy for them. It deals with different issues, such as consent. I don't want to give anything away, so I'll stop there.
I did really fall in love with this book. Especially the character "Daye". She'll stick with me for a long time. ❤️ Might be my favorite book of all time.

Korok #85: Honeysuckle berries
Korok 85 is watching a stink bug.
For some reason the thing called a honeysuckle in my old house is a vine and the one here is more of a bush, but I love the little berries on the ones here right now so what's what I drew. I'm not sure if the two plants are even related. Reference photo from my walk. Love that leaf texture.
It's hard to believe I've only got a couple of weeks of koroks left on this project!
