No one talks about how much your perspective changes when watching more than one POV in the life series. If you go into the series, firmly watching only one person you’ll never understand anyone else’s motivations or goals. I feel like this leads to some people growing distain towards the people who do the person they like watching wrong.
I say this because some of my friends (almost all of those who watch the series) only watch one or two people for the whole season, and I used to do the same. I say this because when they talk about it, from their perspective, skizz just randomly walks up to Lizzie and kills her. But if you watch Skizz or Skizzes team you’ve watched his constant death and growing anxiety as he’s so close to leaving the season and grows so desperate to just running at people so he can get a life.
It’s almost like reading from an unreliable narrator depending on who you’re watching. You only get the full picture if you see multiple sides, then you can say for yourself who’s in the right or wrong. This isn’t to shame anyone who doesn’t want to watch multiple people, it’s just something I found interesting.
In summary, don’t be mad at the players if they do something you don’t like to the person you’re watching. One, because it’s Life Series, two, because there’s always context you’re missing if you don’t go out of your way to see why they did it.
