fall daze

His carved pumpkins sit on the front porch to greet the children. Ghosts, simple sheets hung over paper lanterns, hang from the rafters and sway with the night breeze. Hay bales line the porch, blankets thrown over them to make for a more comfortable seat. Kyungsoo sits on one of the hay bales a cup of warm cider in his hands.
"Maybe, we should line the banister with candles. I think it would look slightly haunting but in a cozy way." You face Kyungsoo for his opinion. He smiles and shakes his head before sipping on his cider.
"This is our first Halloween in the house. I want it to be special."
"I can only imagine what Christmas will be like." He mumbles into his mug, but you hear him loud and clear. His comment earns him a smack. Your husband stares at you, eyes wide and mouth agape.
"You deserved it." You hiss. "I'm getting those candles."
A hand wraps around your wrist, and after a slight tug, you find yourself falling into Kyungsoo's lap.
“The house looks perfect," he mumbles into your hair as he pulls you close. “And the kids will love it. We'll have so many trick-or-treaters that we'll run out of candy."
Your shoulders relax and you lean back into his arms. "You should be grateful you didn't spill any cider on me because you’d be dead." His chuckle rumbles through you, and you find yourself smiling. "And thank you." You say as you curve your neck back and place a kiss on his lips. He tastes of apple and cinnamon and home.
The spiced cider was a hit. Lemme know if ya want me to keep it around for more than just t’night

Fall Daze
Hey dessert eaters!
Fear not, I am still baking and well! Just EXTREMELY busy with school, work, and just life. BUT with fall here (more here for some of us than others- heat wave here in California), it means it is pumpkin bread time!
While I personally am not a fan of pumpkin spice or the like, who isn't a sucker for pumpkin bread.. or at least the warm fuzzy feeling it brings to your kitchen? Be patient with me my friends, and I promise to deliver mouth watering pumpkin bread and other fall-tastic goodies to you!

Fall Daze
Fall is my favorite season. Fall means: wearing lots of layers, going to apple orchards, Halloween, crisp air... plus, my birthday is in the fall!
PS - The vest I'm wearing is the one I posted the photo of a couple weeks ago while I was in the process of studding it.
