One of the subscriptions I get each month is the Faithbox. Faithbox is a Christian monthly subscription box. Their mission is to help you grow in your faith each month. In each box, you will find products that they trust will inspire you, guide you in making an impact, and bring you joy in using them. Each product is spiritually inspirational, environmentally responsible, and socially conscious. Each box also comes with a theme. May’s box theme was loneliness.
Inside the box on top, you will find the Impact Guide and the Everyday Faith booklet. The Impact guide explains each product in the box, about the boxes theme, and the month donation benefactor. In the Everyday Faith booklet, the theme of loneliness is approached in different verses throughout the bible. Faithbox takes us on a journey through the Bible to look at some heroes of the faith who also experienced loneliness. To see what they experienced and what they learned through their loneliness. Through their stories, we will find hope and strength for our own stories. We will take inspiration and courage to navigate our own loneliness and discover that no matter what, God is always with us, and He always has a purpose for what we experience.
The first product in the box is a Love Glass Waterbottle for the company Love Bottle. The company Love Bottle was founded by Minna Yoo’s journey in neuroscience and nutrition. The bottle was created to help the physical and environmental health of our bodies, our communities, and our planet. Our bodies and our planet are both around 70% water. It’s the main ingredient of who we are, and part of every cell in our body. When we bring love into our water drinking experience, love for ourselves, our communities, and our world, it can be powerful. We take 40-60 sips of water every day and each sip is an opportunity to change the way we feel and to remember the things that are most important to us. The Love Glass Waterbottle is a beautiful, elegant, and reusable bottle that you can use over and over again. Through its design, it encourages peace and mindfulness and reminds you that vulnerability is one of the most beautiful parts of your soul. I love the sleek look of the water bottle and the meaning behind it. It makes you think each time you take a sip out of it. The best part about it, it is dishwater safe!
The next product comes from the company CatSpring Tea. Delicious Yaupon Tea Bags in three different brews. Yaupon is what the company says, “it’s Texan for tea”. Yaupon is the only caffeinated plant native to North America. While all other tea and coffee are imported into the USA, yaupon is not only the sole domestic option it's also sustainably wild harvesting the native growth. The company's co-founders and sisters Abianne and JennaDee uncovered the delicious plant during Texas’s historic drought in 2011. They took an idea and the plant and began CatSpring Yaupon by harvesting the yaupon on their family land in CatSpring Texas. The company is committed to sustainable practices in making use of natural resources, personal transformation in our communities, and a return to family values. The company has learned that at the end of the day sustainability is about more than just the land. It’s about people too. I’m a green tea drinker in the mornings and I can not wait to try out their green tea. It smells absolutely divine. You could immediately smell the leaves when I opened the box for the first time.
The next product comes from the company Grey Ghost Bakery. They included two of their scratch-made cookie packages in the flavors Molasses Spice and Lemon Sugar. Grey Ghost Bakery was founded and began using premium ingredients to make the freshest, best cookies possible from scratch by Katherine Frankstone. Each of her recipes originates from a family tradition and has been perfected over the years to provide customers with the best cookies possible. The Lemon Sugar cookies are soooo good. I’m not a huge molasses fan so I’m a little bias on that one.
Another product in the box was Words of Jesus for Everyday Living. This book is filled with powerful statements and encouraging words from Jesus. The words of Jesus are organized in over 100 topics that are easily searched using the index in the back of the book. Look at it each time when in need of inspiration, comfort, enrichment, blessing which Jesus’ words can surely provide. I have bookmarked a few pages already in this book. It’s a great book to keep at hand for anything you may be searching for, you can find it through Jesus.
Each month the box comes with stickers and watercolor paintings. This month’s stickers are premium waterproof stickers from JoJo and Company. Their stickers are made of premium materials making them great for placement on your computer, fridge, or even car. Each sticker has an inspirational or uplifting message intended to bring joy in the simple moments. Each sticker sale provides one meal for the village of Ti Riviere, Haiti. The company works with Mission Haiti who distributes the meals in various ways. The stickers are absolutely gorgeous, I’m saving them to put on my new laptop once I order it. This month's watercolor designs are by Madeline Harwell. Through Madeline’s art, the company supports a nonprofit called Generosity Rocks. Generosity Rocks was founded by Citizen Way lead singer Ben Calhoun. The nonprofit is a community of Christian musicians and supporters who together, allow musicians to go and proclaim the Gospel and inspire generosity in Jesus’ name. It was Ben who took an interest in Madeline’s art and encouraged her to pursue a small business using her God-given gift. At the time Ben didn’t know that Madeline was struggling through a season of fear, anxiety, and panic attacks. With being able to focus on art the incorporated God’s word and truths were just the focus and opportunity that Madeline needed to bring back peace and calm to her spirit and remind her of the unchanging and faithful promise of God. Through Madeline’s small business Inspired Inks, Madeline has been able to give back monthly to the Generosity Rocks ministry. With each box, she makes a calendar and a quote. I put both upright on my door to look at each day. They are so pretty.
Each month Faithbox also gives back to ministries around the world. This month’s Faithbox donation went to Matr Boomie. They are a US-based company that has provided and employed dignified work for over 1,500 artisans across India. Their products range from jewelry, home goods, and other unique gifts. All of their products are made by their network of artisans, many of whom are women from remote villages. Amongst the many challenges, these female artisans face is access to basic healthcare needs. Through Faithbox’s partnership with Matr Boomie, they were able to provide thousands of sanitary napkins each month to help the women. I love that my subscription money is going to something that betters the world and not just into the pockets of a corporation. I love every single product that comes in this box each month and the fact that I know I’m making a difference in the world while furthering my faith.
