Today I was feeling guilty for not being a "better Christian". Sometimes, yeah, I don't feel like reading my Bible, or like praying. Sometimes my priorities are seriously screwed up.
Then, God reminded me that it isn't about how "good" a Christian I am, but that He is taking care of me. I cannot diminish His love or make it less true by ignoring Him, and while it's not a good idea (obviously)...guilt just makes the cycle worse. Every relationship has deeper times, and when drift happens, guilt is kind of inevitable. Yet God is always there, whispering into me. I should seek Him out, but I should also know that the relationship isn't up to me.
