I have! I've played all four of the "Walking Dead Games" and both "Batman" games.

I could go on for hours about how much I love "The Final Season" from TWDG series. I adore all of the characters and the choices are my favorite from any game. Plus I love Clouis and Violentine and watching their romance with Clementine. It gives me such a warm fuzzy feeling.

The second Batman game is crazy good as well! John Doe and his not so subtle crush on Bruce was so much fun to watch. I like the choices in the second one a lot too!

LOOL I'm honoured you've come to me I think my excitement is definitely majorly tempered by the fact that it's Gearbox in charge, and I haven't had great experiences with their writing (although none of their games have exactly TRIED to be story-focused like a Telltale game, and also Telltale is dead, so it's not like the original team could've done it themselves...), as well as the promise of "all new characters". On one hand, all new characters means I don't have to worry about my faves being done dirty. On the other hand, it's hard for me to feel too excited about a totally unknown quantity.

But to be frank I expected to never really care about a Borderlands release again, so this does have me like

YES of course...

so you gotta understand: people skills arent sea fairy’s thing. she doesn’t want to disappoint pistachio. pistachio probably thinks sea fairy is large and grand and powerful, right? so.. sea fairy figures thats the way to go.

her entrance is in a burst of light, filling the temple with the smell of the sea and a breeze that blows salt into pistachios hair-- sea fairy’s voice is gilded and shes almost too bright to look at-- pistachio instantly falls to the marble floor and grovels.

it takes... a second to realize this wasn’t how it was supposed to go. she melts away her flashy powers and kneels in front of pistachio, too afraid to touch her.

pistachio is of course, terrified. she had never received divine intervention since the night of her revelation, why now? she’s so afraid that shes done something wrong that require this. but theres no lightning or sword being brought down on her. and then there’s the voice.

it’s light and sweet and worried, pistachio can’t help but look up into eyes that are literally all colours of the ocean. sea fairy is unlike her marble statues, she’s much more alive; her hair, her dress, her eyes are flowing and constantly changing like the sea. she makes her own ocean wind and pistachio takes in a deep breath. her lungs feel clear. 

they look at each other in awe, pistachio in disbelief and sea fairy in guilt. sea fairy bites her lip, eventually extending a lithe, sea-foam soft hand,

LMAO OH BOY DO THEY EVER…

(MAJOR SPOILERS AHOY)

Okay, so first some basics, the characters in HnK are all gems right, and I mean literally, their bodies consist entirely out of mineral, and because of that different characters have different levels of hardness and some of them break more easily than others. Our main character Phos is (after Cinnabar) the frailest gemstone and breaks very easily. Usually a broken off part can be returned to its owner’s body without much problem as long as you have all the pieces, but throughout the story Phos loses different parts of themselves which, for different reasons, are permanently lost.

So Phos ends up losing their legs and arms, which are replaced with entirely different, but also stronger, materials, and eventually even their head, which is replaced with the head of another character, Lapis Lazuli, hence the huge change of appearance from that point onward. Because the personality and memories of the gems are stored in the entirety of their bodies, this has also meant a lot of changes for Phos as a person, and since there is less than 50% of the original Phos left at this point, you could say that who Phos was at the beginning of the story doesn’t even exist anymore.
