Failure is the opportunity to begin again. Only this time more wisely!!! #failureisfeedback
This is my favorite quote that I had to capture! Don't be afraid to fail! Failure is feedback! #quote #failureisfeedback #groundwork #browngirlfromboston
#TransparentTuesday: I have failed many times in life but I am not a failure. I remember being an undergraduate student majoring in Nursing, failing (my anatomy class) which was mandatory to go on to the professional phase which was the clinical stage. I thought my life was over until I realize that Nursing probably wasn't my true passion. I went into nursing because my Dad thought it was going to bring me prosperity and "status" because he worked as a surgical technician at Mass General Hospital for eons and was surrounded by medical professionals. (Thanks, Dad) I remember my Mother consoling me because I broke all the way down and did the ugliest cry ever. My Mom said, "Ok, get it out, keep crying but this is not the end of the world and you are not a failure." I remember sitting on the stairs in my house and my Mom telling me to make a list of everything I love to do that is going to make me happy. Not money but make me happy. She kept telling me to become a Writer and major in English but I passed because at the time I wanted a more "hands on" experience with the people. I did not realize at the time that writing bring people together. I choose Social Worker because honestly I wanted to advocate for the people especially for the people who thought they have failed in life or someone told them that they've failed due to a few mistakes. The moral to tonight's transparent Tuesday is to give yourself permission to acknowledge certain aspects of your life where you have failed but succeed from that failure. In life, when you fail at something, you succeed at something during that process. Remember failure is feedback. If you don't allow yourself to fail, how would you even know what success will feel like. Remember, you are not a failure. Your homework: Think of something you have failed at recently. Write it down. Write down what have you learned from that failed moment. Once you've learned the lesson, move on. #browngirlfromboston #failureisfeedback
