Something intriguing about these scenes is that Tomoya is literally and metaphorically pulling Akira away from darkness into light. He approaches her first as a stranger, the light from the hallways meeting the darkness of the theater, then grabs her hand as a friend, the light from the EOS entrance overwhelming the darkness of Akira’s unconscious. I think the new circles represent this fuzzy feeling Akira is starting to get from Tomoya as well, showing growth!

He is also lightening up her mood, as it’s implied Akira doesn’t have time to be a normal teenager and only is sane because of Ryuusei and Yukie’s parenting and her own family. Denshi too, but he’s part of the yakuza so it’s a bit easier to get closer to him since he’s a colleague and she didn’t necessarily have to make time outside of being a hitman for him. They’re just having fun together, and it’s a nice change of pace for Akira’s life to meet someone new and hell, even flirt with them. (Goals and priorities that stuff)

However, as warm as this light is, we all know it’s not going to last and Tomoya will inevitably fail to pull her out of this pain (at least on the first try), because Akira doesn’t trust him. Why would she? She barely knows him, after all.

I’d like it if there was another scene that parallels these Tomoya CGs, where Akira represents a shadow of sorts, a dark figure that pulls away from Tomoya’s light. But if there was another scene, like how there’s meeting Tomoya and awakening to Tomoya, I’d want it to be Akira pulling away, taking her shadow with her, and then Akira becoming a haunting figure that completely swallows any of Tomoya’s light, bright or dim. Just another person who slowly drains Tomoya of his innocence.

AND I’d also really like it if we got a CG dedicated to mostly or even solely Tomoya’s reaction to the secret and the yellow light that surrounds him greatly darkens and pales.
