Sewing with SANDS
THE FINAL DAY OF MY INTERVENTION.
For this momentous occasion I decided to spend the afternoon with an extremely talented third year Fedisa fashion student. Β The one, the only-Β Sandrine Schafer.Β
She just recently took 1st place for the Foschini Design Awards 2015. Together with this, she also won a Β ten-day internship at Foschini and the opportunity to showcase her very own range in store, (and a trip to London) WOWIE!
THE ACTIVITY
The idea was to make my own top using her nifty little sowing machine. I MANAGED TO SEW TOGETHER A FEW PIECES OF FABRIC! HAHA. Fashion Design certainly isn't for the faint hearted, although I did rather enjoy myself :)
It was my first time using a sewing machine, and I did feel slightly nervous and hesitant. I also felt a little intimidated standing next to a pro!
