What gifts would you get each other for each other's birthdays?

Scratch I feel would stress himself out to the last minute, trying to find the perfect birthday gift, where I’ll have to explain to him that just him being with me is all I needed, while I would bake something he never tried before for his birthday, spoiling him with sweets lol

Who's the madoka and who's the homura? (AKA who is more doomed by the narrative / who fails to save the other over and over again?)

I want to say I’m Madoka, but I feel I would tear apart the universe to try to save him (or for any of my f/os honestly), so I’m pretty sure at the end of the day, I’m always the Homura in the relationship.

Whose sleep schedule is worse?

I want to say mine since I either stay up at random hours or end up passing out at like 6pm.

adrian! have you seen latter days (2003)? rob has a small side part as a judgmental mormon and it completely jumpscared me & my boyfriend when we watched it. also a very good movie!!

With my s/i being a sea monster, the fandom would try to turn Coraline into some “badass” character or make her aggressive because it would make her “cool” or think it’ll fix her when her tender hearted nature is apart of who she is and how her struggles with being a monster in important to her character.

Probably somewhere in the middle, where the ship isn’t as popular as the other canon x canon ships, but it wouldn’t be considered too rare either.

6. a horror movie you liked but wouldn’t recommend to most people: The Wolf Man 1941. not because it’s uniquely gory or disturbing or has any particularly triggering content, but just because… it’s old. it’s in black and white. and at least among a lot of my irl friend group, it can be a tough sell to get people interested in watching ANY black and white movie :( and i feel like in general that’s starting to be more of an issue across society, and not just in my particular social sphere

8. a horror movie you liked but would probably never rewatch: i’m gonna be honest… i don’t know that i have one of these. there are plenty of horror movies i wouldn’t rewatch because i DIDN’T like them, but i just looked at my letterboxd horror tag and didn’t see a single 3+ star film that i wouldn’t want to watch again. getting more into horror film studies has kind of made it harder for a horror movie to truly disturb or frighten me, because i find i watch horror films these days on the critical level, as pieces of art/writing, as well as on the fan level where i’m watching a story to be entertained. when you have that level of academic remove, it’s just a little harder to be truly shocked or upset by much.

13. a horror movie with the best soundtrack (or your favorite horror movie soundtrack): all of the saw films have incredible soundtracks, but i think the first one is my favorite!! hello zepp is just SUCH a beautiful and iconic piece of film score. i feel like a lot of 21st century horror films have moved towards atonal scores, so it really stands out to me that all of the saw films DO have such a distinctive and melodic musical identity.

27. an upcoming horror movie you’re looking forward to watching: there’s this irish-language horror movie called An Taibhse (“the ghost”) that was finished a couple years ago but doesn’t have a wide release date yet, and i’d love to see it whenever i get the chance to!!

1. song of the year — it wasn’t my most-played on spotify, but i really liked free by ultra naté this year!! i listened to it a lot as inspiration when i was working on an always sunny fic i did for a zine project, and it’s also just a really fun and warm and liberating song. i was really bumping it a lot over the summer!

2. album of the year— bring me the horizon FINALLY released post human: nex gen this year, and it was SO much fun!! i was really skeptical about it after being sort of of lukewarm on a lot of the earlier singles, but there were some really great surprise hits on the track list for me. YOUtopia, top 10 statues that cried blood, and bullet with my name on were all INSTANT bmth classics for me.

18. a memorable meal this year— over the summer, my close friend group did our annual meetup vacation, and this year we did it in new mexico! there was one evening we all did a MASSIVE home-cooked dinner together, with a traditional palestinian rice-and-tomato dish whose name tragically escapes me, nachos with homemade guac, and a really great corn salad that we all ate outside at sunset. the meal would have been beautiful and memorable enough on its own, but this was also the night i proposed to my now-husband! it was such a beautiful moment, i’ll never forget it 🥹

10. if they wear jewelry, what kind? do they prefer silver or gold? do they have a favorite gem? — he keeps it pretty simple, i think! blondie takes a lot of cues from 1950s greaser fashions, so i think at most he might wear an occasional gold chain necklace or gold band ring. he likes the look of sapphires and opals, but wouldn’t wear them himself.

16. do they have any pets? if so, what do they call them? — this is such a good question… blondie is an anthro character in an all-anthro world so i honestly haven’t put too much thought as to how “regular” animals are handled in his setting 😅 i think MAYBE he could have a family dog but i’d have to think more on what its breed/name/etc would be.
