I've seen a bunch of people use the term "young lion psychosexual chanko" when talking about Kevin Knight and Clark Connors and I just have to ask: what does it specifically mean and where did it come from????
this is a term to describe the unique blend of crazy fostered by training under the NJPW Dojo system, which is. purported to be a very strict and intense almost monastic training program
'chanko' is the stew made & eaten in the dojo. the students live together in the dojo and must maintain the space, cook for themselves, and do intensive hours of training daily. 'young lion' is the status you hold until you graduate. where many people interested in training for pro wrestling are interested in the egoistic persona development aspect, the young lions are barred from individuality or any sense of gimmick or persona development. there's a level of language deprivation, where you are asked rely only on body language to communicate during training that goes on for hours. they wear the same uniform, small black trunks, kneepads, 'shitty little boots'. individuation must be earned.
whatever horrible thing this does to your brain is not exclusive to kevin knight and clark connors, or just the LA Dojo, because NJPW prides their dojo trainings on being as equivalent as possible. but the entire LA Dojo cohort is evil and its because of that damn stew
please enjoy the logo for the stew that will soon be sold at kroger
