uggghhhh i knowww. like i try to be positive about cat since loads of people are v salty to her bc of phan but that was transphobic whether she meant it like that or not. like she was suggesting the man would be disgusted to find she had a dick ;-;

yeah like i used to be one of those annoying ppl who didnt like her for literally no reason whatsoever but when i started watching more of her videos i started liking her more (she kinda reminds me of sophie from cbt tbh) and i was genuinely excited when i saw that she was in phils new video and was enjoying it the whole time but like.. idk how it was phrased and presented was just really shitty and she was acting like the worst thing in the entire world would be for the guy to feel a dick on her or w/e and like i said dan did deflect it a little but idk the whole situation was shitty i had to watch three hours worth of old spooky week videos to feel better

honestly there isnt a right solution and reuploading could destroy the concept like it half managed with that sub website that some yters moved to for a week. by bigger yters im talking dnp bc they care and won't prioritise money over their audience

im really hoping it won't hurt smaller yters + that big yters won't do it because they already have enough money either way the exclusive content will be reuploaded somehow im just?? its a v bad idea + i assume not many ppl with buy into it

It will hurt them, though, guaranteed. The algorithms will prioritise the paid for content; smaller creators will be sidelined and it will be harder to find them. Ofc it’d be nice to think that bigger yters will go “oh we don’t need the money” but the only people who would have a dedicated enough audience to pay for the content are, in the vast majority of case, the bigger yters, so it won’t work. And anyway, not everyones that nice.

Also, it’s a general subscription service, not pay for the individual video. Therefore, the most money will go to the people with the most views i.e. the bigger yters. The “exclusive content” is just for “members”, not for people who have paid for that specific content. You don’t get to chose where the money goes, essentially. 

Reuplading is a solution, but it’s not the right one, I’m sure you know that.
