Faekami. What is it?
Some of you have asked me, “what is Faekami?” “Aren’t you just ripping off of Faesari?” and while I can understand why you’d think/ask this, I decided to make a post to clear it up!
Faekami- the combination of the Germanic/Celtic word “fae”, meaning “a form of spirit, often described as metaphysical, supernatural, or preternatural”, and the Japanese word “kami”, meaning “God; deity”.
Well what does this mean?
Basically, you’re not a boy, you’re not a girl, you’re not even a human. You’re a gender-nonconforming ethereal being trapped in a physical, mortal, vessel, but you lean more towards the femme/feminine side.
“Ok. So what pronouns do I use?”
Fae/Faer/Faeself, or any variation of these. Of course you’re still free to use they/them, she/her, or even she/them! If faeself doesn’t feel right to you, you are not obligated to use those pronouns! Just because I like them, doesn’t mean you have to!
“Can I still be sapphic/nblw?”
Yes! If either (or both) of these terms still fit, then yes you can use them!
“What about nblm/nblnb?”
Of course! It’s your gender, NOT your sexuality! :)
Below I included various flags, which ofc I made myself!
The pinks and purples represent our femininity, the soft/pastel/“girly” side of us, as well as the angelic aesthetic of “pastel clouds”
The blue stripes represent our masculinity. Our “rough and tough” side. But it’s pastel blue, to show our connection to the Universe above.
The gold represent our divinity. Our ethereal beauty. The ichor the runs through the veins of our souls.
The white represents our gender non-conformity. It’s our dedication to not letting human contstructs control us, even though we’re stuck in these forms.
Please credit me when using my flag or any edits of my flag :)
