Just a simple, quick flag for those who simply identify as "androgynous" in the "I am a combination of both masc/fem" way.
The pink at the top was borrowed from an alternative feminine flag. The blue at the bottom was borrowed from the masculine counterpart. The center is a unique purple color to represent the blend of the two. The second and fourth stripes represent the spectrum of androgynous identity.
I have been informed that the existing term/flags for this (androgyne) are potentially considered a slur. Thusly created 'androgynous' flags focus on monochrome purple. I wanted a flag to represent a fluid spectrum between the binary genders.
With that said, please note that this flag is officially dubbed "Androgynous Flag" and not "androgyne flag". I am not telling anyone how they may or may not identify, but I wanted that to be clear from my perspective and intention.
Below is a similar flag for "ambiguous" which is not necessarily a combination of masc/fem but is instead a totally vague, ambiguous gender for whatever respective reason. This is not to be confused with kenochoric, which is better defined elsewhere.
The colors are desaturated to represent vagueness. Violet, purple, beige, taupe, and green were chosen to allude to various nonbinary gender presentations. The flag was intentionally designed to contrast the androgynous flag slightly, but is not meant to exclude masc/femme -presenting individuals from identifying as ambiguous.
Consider these alternate flags with respect to any preexisting flag designs that may have already captured this. I know ambiguous gender flags exist already, but I define mine a little differently.
