President Donald Trump stormed out of a Meet the Press interview Sunday â after moderator Kristen Welker repeatedly fact-checked his claims on a variety of topics including; Jan. 6, his âanti-weaponizationâ fund, and election fraud.
The heated six-minute final block of the interview began with Welker pressing Trump about the $1.8 billion âanti-weaponizationâ fund he continues to promote â despite his administration officially abandoning its efforts to launch the fund. Welker pressed â attempting to confirm that Trump is indeed throwing in the towel.
âJust to be very clear, are you backing off the fund completely as your acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has said, or are you looking for another avenue to revive the fund?â Welker asked.

I have seen this doing the rounds on Facebook but I just want to give a small warning on it. I was excited to read this study because Iâve been waiting for some reliable research on this for a long time, but unfortunately this is not it.
Firstly the study being quoted is unpublished, so we canât even read it ourselves and it hasnât been subject to the normal peer review process, though the wider research it forms a part of has undergone review by the looks of it. The study was also funded by ProVeg international, which doesnât automatically rule it out but is certainly something to consider in terms of biases.
The only study actually cited in this article doesnât seem to be dealing with safety or long-term pet health at all, it is explicitly talking about the palatability of plant-based pet foods. The findings suggest that cats and dogs find vegan pet food just as enjoyable, but not that it is good for their health. Disappointingly, this seems like a bit of media spin to generate some clicks and debates in the comments sections.
