I’m loving @booper-dooper‘s idea of getting to know the face behind the name so here’s my mug. I’m the one with the goofy grin sporting the blue hoodie. My name’s Louise and I’ve been a fan of both Mark and Jack’s channels for over a year now.
It’a bit of weird way that I found Jack and Mark. I found out about Mark through the friend on the top left. He talked about how he wanted to dye his hair pink like Mark had for charity. He also talked about another guy dying his hair green. I was overloaded at work and really didn’t have time to look at videos on youtube. Then FNAF hit the game theorists channel with a bang and I began to get into the lore around it a lot more. As a consequence I was drawn to a particular scene in YouTube Rewind 2015 when Toreador played. I instantly recognised it from FNAF and saw Mark pop up with his pink hair. It was then I decided to check out his FNAF playthrough. After that I was hooked, I subscribed immediately.
I checked out some old prop hunt videos when I watched a Markiplier highlight video. That’s when I found out about Jack, it was the whole thing around Wheelie Bins that had me howling with laughter. I went straight to Jack’s channel and saw it was the green haired dude that my friend mentioned a couple of months previous. I didn’t hesitate to subscribe to him too.
I can’t say they helped me through dark times. YouTube wasn’t around when I went through my own shadows. My beliefs and the way I conduct myself were forged through my own experiences but I’m sure they would have been massive pillars of strength to me if they were around back then like they are to many of you today.
However, they do effect me now. Mark’s inspiring words of finding something to motivate you to get up in the moring will always ring in my head when I find myself flagging at work. I’m in the job I’m doing because I want to help others so I’ll keep reminding myself of what Mark said when I feel the edge being taken off that drive.
I’ve said this many times before but Jack has been a massive influence in getting me to pick up drawing again, especially during October with all the Antisepticeye stuff that went on. I can’t thank him enough for helping me find my spark to draw, I thought it had been extinguished long ago.Â
THE NEXT BIT IS IMPORTANT
Even though Jack re-ingnited my love for drawing, it’s because of this awesome community that I’m beginning to hone my skills. Everyone who leaves a note when I post a picture is a person who took the time to look at what I’ve done and decided it was worth liking and that means a tonne to someone like me who thought her drawings weren’t worth anyone’s time, so thank you! It means a lot! You keep my spark burning! My Grandad has asked for a drawing and I’m thinking through ideas of what to do. I wouldn’t have found the courage to show my family my work if it wasn’t for this group of wonderful people who are here because of the same love and support they have for the energetic Irishman!Â
