The multi combo!

Recently I have been using more Revolution makeup just to give my other makeup a break and straight away I was reminded of a combo I adore from XX Revolution. If you didn’t see my other posts XX Revolution is part of Revolution Beauty but the products from this collection are makeup design with skincare ingredients so while you’re wearing makeup you are looking after your skin at the same time.
In this collection they have primers and setting sprays designed for different preferences whether it’s glow, hydrate or mattifying and since I’m combo skin I love using their mattifying products. For me personally I need a good face base product and something to hold the makeup together after I’ve finished and this duo has helped me through the hottest weather and of course wearing a face mask! So let’s chat about this duo.
First up we have the XX Revolution Quick FiXX Mattifying Primer£12.00. This primer is a pump primer in gorgeous silver packaging. It is a creamy formula that dries matte taking away any shine from your face. When it dries down it feels really hydrating but just has that little bit of tack to it to help keep your foundation in place. I love using this and it’s worked so well with both my drugstore and highend foundations which I find really hard to match when it’s products from different brands but this one works like a dream.
Next up we have the XX Revolution Quick FiXX Mattifying Fixing Mist , £10.00. This setting spray is one of my all time favourites from Revolution and is a perfect mattifying spray! Once you apply the spray to your face and let it dry instantly you can see the shine fading away and leaving you with a perfect matte finish. I use this spray religiously and I would say it’s honestly just as good as my highend sprays but obviously cheaper so if you’re looking for an affordable dupe here’s your answer. Sometimes if my skin is being really oily what I do as a little trick is when I apply my primer I do a little spray before foundation just to really mattify my face and keep product in place.
So friends if you have oily skin like me or you’re just looking for a way to keep your makeup in place longer here is the answer. The products are really affordable and yet the quality is essentially highend performance so it’s work looking into.
