I get asked a lot about tips and tricks to make your makeup last and which products actually work and are worth the money. Most recently a lot of people have asked what eye base products I use to make my eyeshadow last and stay pigmented all day long. Now lucky for you guys there is one product that you can make all your eyeshadow dreams come true.

Today friends we are chatting about the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Amplifying Eye Primer , £18.00. Now I have mentioned this eye primer countless times because it has been the best eye primer I have ever used. On fenty's website they describe the eye primer as "A weightless, colour-boosting eyeshadow primer that smooths lids for better blending and longer, crease-proof wear.". This primer has been tested with all my luxury and drugstore palettes and I can say compared to other primers this product makes my shadow last all day effortlessly.

Once I apply the primer I let it dry on my lid and then apply the shadow straight to my lid. The primer formula itself has a real grip on shadows you apply, so when you do apply shadows you have to blend relatively quickly. I have tried other luxury brand primers but honestly this product wins by far every time. In the evening when you wash off your eyeshadow you really need to use micellar water or some type of makeup remover because this primer makes your product not move anywhere. So moral of the story if you want something that's gonna make your eye makeup last even longer grab this primer.

I didn’t find this AS special as the lip but it’s still a nice upgrade if you’ve been using a less skin-loving primer.

I recently went back to TK MAXX and spotted another bargain and it was a product I didn't even know existed. Today we are chatting about the Huda Beauty Matte Perfection Pre-Makeup Base , £26.00. Now before we get into details I don't know if this is a old product or a new one but it's new for me!

This mattifying primer is no ordinary primer from it's gorgeous packaging to rare ingredients. To make this primer mattifying it has milk of magnesia in the formula which it is a liquid laxative known for its milky, powdery formula and keeping your complexion matte for longer. The Perfection Pre-Makeup base has major oil control qualities which giving you the perfect smooth base for makeup application. If that wasn't enough to make you love this primer it also minimises the appearance of pores, fine lines and uneven texture.

When i first applied the primer I was surprised it was a silicone formula but once I rubbed in the product it looked more like a cream which was gorgeous! Once applied on my skin I could see the shine and oiliness from my complexion disappear, it's honestly crazy but I loved it. Out of all the primers I have tried with the Huda Beauty foundations this one works the best with the foundation by far which makes sense they are designed to compliment each other. I have also tried this primer with other foundations and find it works just as well and gives my face a tacky base for my foundation to hold on to longer.

So if you're looking for a primer to hold your face together during the summer I would really suggest giving this a go. I found this primer at TK MAXX but I believe you can still get it from Huda's website or Selfridges/boots.
