I dont recognise people outside of the usual context i see them (eg my sister surprised me at a cafe and i didnt know it was her until she was almost at the table). I rely on distinctive features to identify people like if they have a mole in a particular place or their gait. Watching shows etc gets very confusing when theres lots of infrequent characters because I have no idea who is who.

When you want to be a character artist and spent all your youth drawing and drawing and DRAWING but never could seem to CATCH how to make a character look the same.... only to realize finally as an adult that they MIGHT actually look the same but YOU CAN’T TELL because you have Prosopagnosia (face blindness).

Only recently have I wanted to get back into character drawing again but for personal entertainment rather than bashing my head against a wall to make it work as a job. I have a good job I love that has nothing to do with art now. I can just... create for my own entertainment.

That sounds like prosopagnosia (face blindness) which is fairly common in autistic people.
