Listening to the Worst Bestsellers episode on City of Bones and while I appreciate that they're trashing it on its own merits, and I further appreciate that they gave a quick, largely accurate summary of Cassie Claire's fandom wank history, they made the mistake of identifying with her immature bullying like CC was a teenager at the time, which she most decidedly was not. She was in her late 20s and 30s throughout that saga and the idea that she would have that kinda ego trip at that age is just. Unbelievable. Also the plagiarism was so so so so so bad. Like she picked up books and copied narrative for paragraphs and then shrugged her shoulders and got published and rich.
