Impressions from Landmannaleið (F225)
Here are some pictorial guides to some basic maintenace routines for the F225. I am a bit apprehensive about going for it myself, but I may have to at some point.
Cheers to the guys that shared these with us. (click on the title)
Here is a picture of the worst days, back in February. The days that I thought that I got myself into an endless loop and our boat would never be ready. Ever.
Until I started re-positioning things, I felt a bit desperate - although now I feel confident that this is what should have been done!
Everything was cleaned, inspected and re-sealed. Today, no water can enter the bilge area.

Lifting the 225HP monster. It is easier than I thought, although it requires the right tools and some experience. The engine is way too heavy and expensive (and dangerous) to drop...
I did this in order to replace the seam covers and to double check the state of the transom. Furthermore, I wanted to witness the correct sealing of the seams, so as to avoid trouble in the future.
Job well done, transom is safe and dry!
