The second crew member (weapons systems officer) of the U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle shot down over Iran on April 3, 2026, was successfully rescued alive by U.S. forces on April 5 following an intense nighttime search-and-rescue operation. Both crew members ejected safely and are now accounted for.
