JASPER: Listen, you’re the only other Gay in the house and I need advice. WREN: Why would I do— 

JASPER: If you were getting one on one with the love of your life for the first time, would you tell him how you felt? And also the love of your life is your boss, and he’s married, potentially open but you’re not sure how open? And he calls you pet names like “my love” and just looks at you in this indescribable way, like how you would look at a forbidden lover maybe? 

WREN: Oh, wow. I have zero incentive to help you, and would MUCH rather sit back and watch this blow up organically. 

JASPER: Your incentive is I’ll leave you alone. 

WREN: Ugh. Fine. Listen, you need to wait for an actual sign instead of making things up in your head. A “look” doesn't count. Is that good enough “advice?” 

JASPER: A sign…? Like if he serenades me or something? 

WREN: Yes, Jasper. If Atticus Winthorpe sings you a love ballad, I would take that as an indication it’s safe to make a move. Otherwise, just do your job and try not to involve me in the inevitable trainwreck, yeah?
