I found out about these little F.A.M.P.S. toys, they are similar to UB Funkeys but the program for it isn't functional anymore. Something about the faces are really endearing to me. Fave has to be the sleepy one
I liked the concept behind them as well, but unfortunately the program doesn't seem to live up to the hype as these weren't desktop pets. But each one would unlock a different game and there was an e-card creator.
Honestly the worst thing I was sold on in the late 00s is that if I had my own personal website, that I could make a whole interactive flash esque site with animations and such. Like I think that COULD be done today (though almost impossible and personal web movement is actually moving at a snail's pace to me at least), but the thing is I was so into the flash based pages that I thought anything online could have this interactivity to it- and not only that it was the norm, that it was the default. That anyone who had their own personal website basically would do whatever they want so I was confused and disappointed seeing that only big corporations seemed to have webpages like that, that not everything looked like 2007 era Disney.com
